The Directorate works around organizing and ensuring that issues on Gender and Youths are well represented at congress level.

Under the Youth segment, the committee mainstreams in terms of youth activities in the operations of congress, while under gender, it deals with mainstreams on issues around gender in congress. It coordinates activities that focus on the needs of men and women.
It also looks at the welfare of  groupings that are usually marginalized around the workforce ; young workers and women.
