The dept. of Public Relations & International affairs, is the ZCTU’s link between congress and its stakeholders. The department plays a management function which helps in ensuring that congress operates at its optimum in order to ensure success in building satisfactory and trust worth relationships at both local and international levels.

The key functions of the department include:-

1) Develop and manage the organization’s communication system
2) Operationalize the organization’s communication strategy
3) Organizing media training for National Unions
4) Organizing media conferences and meetings for the congress
5) Production of newsletters and publication materials
6) Preparation of congress press statements
7) Popularizing congress policy position
8) Developing and Planning of publicity strategies,
9) Provide responses to all media queries through the established communication channels
10) Managing all international affairs of the congress
10) it deals with both local and international publics
11) Manages both local and international image of the organisation;
