The Bankers Union of Zambia successfully held its Elective Quadrennial Conference, bringing together delegates from across the country to shape the future of the union.
The conference marked an important milestone in strengthening leadership, promoting unity, and reaffirming the union’s commitment to protecting workers’ rights and advancing the welfare of members in the banking sector.
As new leaders take up their roles, the Union remains dedicated to fostering dialogue, advocating for fair labour practices, and contributing to national development.
During the conference, ZCTU president, Mr. Blake Mulala stated that, “The banking sector remains a critical pillar of our economy, and it is imperative that the welfare, dignity, and job security of workers in this sector are safeguarded at all times. We must continue to strengthen collective bargaining, promote fair labour practices, and ensure that no worker is left behind in the pursuit of economic growth.”
Together, we build a stronger, more resilient future for all bank workers.
